I had an assignment for Craft Hub to make a page for my friend Rachelle’s altered book – her theme is Detritus – which can be defined as accumulated material and debris. At first, I thought I should put a photo of my work space in the book!

I found the weird, organic piece of melted plastic while walking on the beach – I strolled along with the girls and at first we thought the plastic was seaweed.
The moth is bleach and the writing is the music that was playing while I put all together :
Nobody said it was easy,
Nobody said it would be this hard,
Im going back to the start.

I was so enchanted with the button dolls at magpies nest that I just could not resist making one as a magnet for my filing cabinet.  The cabinet is a birds nest inside and I have been meaning to sort it out for months and get it all uptodate – but how can I do that without a bit of lovely to go with it?

I had such a great day at the Martinborouh fair on Sat.  I bought a rather random bunch of things but I had a great time with some girlfriends.  I did find this lovely piece of art/craft.

I made this for my brother and new sister in law for their wedding.  It was great fun and I would love to do some more.  I enjoy the idea of showcasing a little world in a box.  They are into travel and surf, so I used maps, national geographics and some symbolic images.  I would enjoy hearing from others who are into this kind of thing and see your pieces.
